Pierwsze centrum Bioróżnorodności w Polsce. Europejskie Centrum Bioróżnorodności będzie unikalnym i trwałym projektem edukacyjnym. Jego celem będzie nie tylko zachowanie i dokumentowanie obecnego stanu bioróżnorodności, ale również edukowanie i badanie. Przykładowo, w tej misji edukacyjnej, dzieci staną się ochotniczymi „Strażnikami Planety” przedstawiając w Centrum Bioróżnorodności wyniki swoich dociekań na temat gadów, owadów, ptaków, płazów, roślin, ssaków, grzybów etc. w swoim sąsiedztwie, lub w dowolnym miejscu na naszej planecie.
Polskie instytucje badawcze, takie jak Instytuty Zoologiczne i Botaniczne, oraz Instytut Paleontologii Polskiej Akademii Nauk będą mogły wykorzystywać instalacje znajdujące się w centrum w celu przeprowadzania badań i realizacji wzajemnej współpracy, jak również udostępniania ogromnych kolekcji okazów i biologicznych przykładów.
Głównym celem nowego projektu, oraz najważniejszym powodem jego budowy jest informowanie o pięknie i znaczeniu naszej przyrody, oraz o konieczności jej ochrony przed wyginięciem i zniszczeniem poprzez prezentowanie jej obecnej różnorodności łącznie z pokazaniem jej ewolucji, która rozpoczęła się miliony lat temu.
The first Center for Biodiversity in Poland, this European Center of Biodiversity will be a sustainable and unique educational project. Its purpose will be not only preserve and document the current state of our biodiversity but educate and investigate about it. For example, in this educational mission, kids will become voluntary "Guardians of the Planet" reporting to the Center of Biodiversity about their findings of reptiles, insects, birds, amphibians, plants, mammals, funguses etc. from their neighborhoods and everywhere in the planet.
Polish research institutions, such as the Zoological and Botanic Institutes or the Institute of Paleontology of the Polish Academy of Science, will be able to use the installations to investigate and cooperate aswell as display the huge collections of creatures and biological examples to the wide public.
The main purpose of this new project and the most important reason to build it, is to inform about the beauty and importance of our nature and the necessity to preserve it from extinction and devastation by presenting its current existing variety alongside the evolution from the start millions of years ago.
